This content-rich session offers grades 5-8 science educators with an in-depth exploration of the layers of Earth and how plate tectonics results in specific crustal features. The goal is to boost teacher background knowledge and inspire educators to want to learn more about the processes that lead to both gradual and rapid changes to Earth’s surface. The session will be facilitated by guest presenter, Dr. David Pitts, a retired NASA scientist and UHCL professor of Geoscience.
